Your Duties and Responsibilities Will Include

Hunting and Prospecting

  • Conduct door-to-door sales prospecting to residential and commercial properties and engage with potential customers in a friendly and professional manner, introducing Everlights products and services, including explaining our benefits to promote and sell Everlights products or services.
  • Continuously prospect for new leads and identify potential customers within assigned territories.
  • When receiving warm leads, provide in-home design consultations with businesses and homeowners to promote and sell Everlights products or services.
  • Develop relationships with home builders to become their exclusive holiday lighting partners.
  • Participate in your areas Home Builders Association to develop long-term relationships with home builders and be an active member of the association's committees.
  • Participate in your area's Chambers of Commerce to develop long-term relationships with local businesses and be an active member of the association's committees.

Utilize Effective Sales Skills

  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, address issues, and foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Utilize persuasive sales techniques to convince potential customers to make a purchase or schedule a follow-up appointment.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the product or service, addressing customer questions or concerns.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends to communicate product features and advantages effectively.
  • Effectively handle objections and rejections, using persistence and persuasive skills to turn potential customers into sales.
  • Professionally represent the company, adhering to ethical standards and promoting a positive brand image.

Be an Active Sales Team Member

  • Participate in sales training programs and professional development activities to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to achieve sales targets and contribute to overall sales strategies.
  • Stay informed about competitors' products and sales strategies to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and leads in the sales database.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a door-to-door or direct sales environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with potential customers.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills to effectively close sales and overcome objections.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to prioritize leads and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Resilience and perseverance to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude throughout the sales process.
  • Confidence in approaching and interacting with strangers, demonstrating a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional listening skills to understand customer needs and tailor sales pitches accordingly.
  • Proficient in using sales techniques and strategies, such as building rapport, creating urgency, and closing deals.
  • Basic computer skills to maintain accurate sales records and utilize sales software or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different locations within assigned territories.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or marketing is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as necessary to reach potential customers.
